Alkaline batteries from AAA to 12volt are accepted in the trash.  Rechargeable, lithium and button cell batteries can be recycled at Casella’s drop-off in Coventry. The drop-off will also accept automobile batteries for a fee.  Mercury containing batteries can be brought to Household Hazardous Waste Day.
